As big as the deck will ever be...

And, cleaned, stained, etc. Just in time for snow...

Garage finale

Did the same foundation color and sealant to the garage on the house, to match the two and also for foundation protection. Also, cleared out area to right of garage, giving a little more room there. (Not that that's a good reason to add to the fleet, it should be mentioned -.ed)

'Tis the season

22 bags yesterday. Whew. At least I'm done for the season, so long as there is no wind for the next two months.

A little more cleaned up other side...

Did some tree-trimming as well as weed-clearing yesterday on the north side, also moved garbage to south side to try that out. The trimming revealed a lot more of that side of the house...

The other side...

Word-less post. Almost.

Back deck

...even though I'd waterproofed it last year, going ahead with another run here out back, cleaning and staining the deck, trying to give it another shot on life. It looks so much bigger with nothing on it...

Porch-view

Swept, pressure-washed, with the cracks caulked up, a layer of primer down, and then now the final coat. Ladies and gentleman, this is as good as the porch will ever be...

Floor Space

I was reading recently that a certain, maybe 40, percentage of the floor should be allocated to furniture. I'd estimate that this particular room, once called the atrium, and with enough space to ride circles around on the skateboard in, is now, thanks to the porch furniture finding a temporary home inside, in the range of 10 eligible space. AKA, "only a path..." to get through...

What is this, then?

Having to pull all the storms from the window revealed an interesting thing in the guest room as the blinds were moved to get access.

Apparently, it's called "natural light." Which would potentially reduce the room's title as "Awesome Sleep Cave" (with "worlds heaviest and least-portable bed") if not taken care of before sleeping...

Starting to come together...

Scraping, sanding, color selection, several instances of pointing, one very helpful Donna, and then the next thing you know, the column has test colors on it. It's just that easy....
Some before and afters to follow in the coming days.

Couple mid-project shots, and then, too a superfluous self-portrait; "How Rusty Sees Me"

One last sitting

The boys got one last chance to enjoy the lovesac (really, enough entries on this yet? -ed.) before Uncle Matt took it to the Dome. Pretty good illustration of scale, though.

Comfy...

See, even pops can appreciate how comfy the Lovesac can be. Getting out of it, however, is no easy task, particularly on a Sunday.

Feng-Shwayyyyy

No points for the first person to figure out what is new inside the dome. Thanks to our benefactors in Virginia for the Lovesac.

The 'Dome gets all politico. Hopefully the sign doesn't find a new home...
